A WOMAN who posted private sexual images of her former friend on social media after punching her has returned to Worcester Magistrates Court.

We previously reported that Briony Carter, of Bibsworth Avenue, Broadway, avoided being sent to jail in September last year.

Magistrates gave Carter a 12-month community order after hearing she punched the victim in the face before posting intimate images of her to the Snapchat app in July this year.

The victim told police it had been humiliating and embarrassing for her, as her child's school teacher spotted the pictures and men she did not know added her on the app - leading to her deleting Snapchat off her phone.

Carter returned to the court on Friday, (January 13), admitting to a charge of failing to comply with the requirements of her community order.

Magistrates heard Carter breached her order by failing to attend initial supervision appointments on September 29 last year, and a planned visit on October 21 last year as instructed by a supervising officer.

Michael Weston, prosecuting on behalf of the probation service, told the court that the breaches had all come at the beginning of her order, with Carter complying after then.

Carter, who represented herself, apologised for the breach and said, at the time, she could not afford to make the trips for her order.

Simon Egerton, chairman of the magistrates bench, fined Carter £115, which was added to the £499 Carter owes the courts.
