Worcester lawyer representing influencer Andrew Tate

Andrew Ford has been in the Romanian capital of Bucharest defending the 36-year-old former kickboxer turned controversial influencer. 

Mr Ford has also been representing his brother Tristan in the case that has gained global attention.

Tate, who has 4.5 million followers on Twitter, was detained on December 29 in Bucharest along with Tristan and two Romanian women.

Mr Ford represented Tate as his most recent court hearing, when his latest appeal was rejected.

That was against asset seizures by prosecutors who are investigating him on charges of being part of an organised crime group and human trafficking. 

The court also upheld a judge’s December 30 ruling to extend their detention from 24 hours to 30 days.

Mr Ford works for the London-based firm Holborn Adams and specialises in clients facing 'sexual offence' charges. 

Mr Ford divides his time between the London office and the Stratford-upon-Avon branch and has represented high profile sports people players at Worcestershire Cricket Club according to an online directory.

The firm's website says Mr Ford was involved in a case of a 'former professional footballer for possession with intent to supply class A drugs at a festival'. 

The client avoided a jail term.

We recently approached the law firm to speak to Mr Ford about his involvement in the case and a receptionist at the firm told us the message would be passed on.

The Daily Mail has reported they made a similar approach, being told he was "out of the country and unavailable".

We reported on Andrew Ford in 2020 when he was promoted to partner of the London law firm at the age of just 31.

At the time the former RGS Worcester student said he was continuing to live in Worcester and says he commutes daily because he loves the city and wouldn’t want to bring up his young son Max anywhere else.

Mr Ford went to Pitmaston Primary School in the city and lived with his parents Anette and Trevor Ford in Lower Wick.

The family then moved to Kempsey, where they still live, and Mr Ford went to RGS Worcester, followed by Cardiff University to study law.

Mr Ford’s legal career started at Hamer Childs Solicitors in Worcester.
