Fire engines are in Worcester city centre after reports of smoke coming from the roof of a building.

Hereford and Worcester Fire and Rescue Service confirmed they have responded to reports of smoke coming from a building on Broad Street.

Pictures show fire engines parked on Angel Place while the incident is being attended to.

A spokesperson for Hereford and Worcester Fire and Rescue Service said: "We have three fire engines at the scene on Broad Street.

"We are responding to a report of smoke coming from a building near to Boston Tea Party that was first reported at approximately 11.50pm.

"A small fire was extinguished on the roof of the building and we are still at the scene now investigating."

Hereford and Worcester Fire and Rescue Service confirmed there were no reported injuries.

As a result of the fire engines, there is currently no access from Lower Broad Street to Angel Place.
