A WORCESTER man has avoided jail after assaulting a man at a train station.

David Kenny, 49, assaulted a man at the University Railway Station in Birmingham by beating him on June 13 2022.

Kenny, of St Clement's Close, pleaded guilty at Birmingham Magistrates' Court on January 31 2023.

He was discharged conditionally for 12 months, meaning the offence is registered on his criminal record and no further action is taken unless they commit a further offence.

He was also made to pay compensation of £200, which has to be paid by February 28.
