A CAT-loving RuPaul's Drag Race race star has visited and given a homeless cat a new drag name.

The Worcester-born Ginny Lemon visited a Cat Protection shelter in Worcestershire to meet and greet the moggy and give it a new Drag Race-style name.

Ginny, who brings their pet cat Madge across the UK on tour, attended an admittance health check for a four-year-old cat.

The cat arrived at the centre, near Evesham, after her owner had become unable to cope with its needs.

After an affectionate one-to-one with the animal, Ginny decided to name the cat Miss Petal Pam-Pam.

Ginny said: “If you could give some space in your home to one of these unwanted cats, you’ll be repaid with so much love”.

Adoption centre manager Charlie Hood added: “It was brilliant to welcome Ginny to the centre, give them a tour and be able to share the details of everything that goes on behind the scenes before a cat is ready to home.

"Ginny is such a clear cat-lover."

The adoption centre on Pitchers Hill, near Evesham, is currently giving Miss Petal Pam-Pam some TLC before she can go up for adoption.

Once she’s home-ready, Cats Protection said Miss Petal Pam-Pam would be best suited to life away from busy roads, where she can explore outside safely under her own steam.

Ginny Lemon appeared on the second UK season of RuPaul's Drag Race and caused a stir when they walked off in the middle of a lip sync against Sister Sister.

Ginny Lemon and Sister Sister will be bringing their You Keep Me Hanging On Tour to Worcester's Huntingdon Hall on Friday, February 17.

The show begins at 7.30pm and tickets cost between £21.50 and £36.50 which includes meet and greet.
