A VENUE designed to make children's dreams come true has opened in Worcester, and the famous characters are limitless.

Doorstep Princess owners Nicole Powell, 23, and Amber Cox, 26, have opened a new venue they call the Doorstep Kingdom.

After the official opening of their new venue in Blackpole, the pair has given a sneak peek into their magical venue.

Co-owner Miss Powell said: "We wanted children to step into something magical.

"We wanted to make little girls and boys' dreams come true.

"We wanted to do a pamper party, so the children get to experience it, and downstairs, there's a room which can get changed to different themes.

The pair are entertainers that dress up as princesses and characters and can be hired for children's parties across Worcestershire.

Children can choose from up to 80 different fairytale characters and superheroes.

The business initially started two years ago during lockdown because they wanted to give children a reason to smile amid the upheaval of the covid pandemic.

Miss Powell added: "We know times are hard at the moment, so we will have lots of offers when we open.

"We want it to be affordable and as magical as possible."

The team has also seen a rise in demand since opening at the Blackpole trading estate west, and some days will turn into six different characters a day.

The high demand has also meant they are doing 20 to 30 parties at the weekend, but the venue can only hold six parties a day.

The business has also racked up 5,000 followers on Facebook.

As a result, the co-owners are looking for more staff, especially male entertainers, to join the team.
