JOBSEEKERS and employers alike will be delighted to hear that the Worcester News Jobs Fair is set to take place this week.

The fair will take place at Worcester’s Guildhall in the heart of the city centre’s High Street on Thursday, March 2.

The event sponsored by Worcester BID follows on from the hugely successful previous jobs fair last October.

Many local businesses and organisations will be present - looking to recruit permanent as well as temporary and seasonal staff.

Some of the big names signed up include - Ashwell Home Care Services, Step by Step, A Plan Insurance, Worcester City Council, Hewett Recruitment, TDM, Crossroads Care, Community Enterprise Catalyst, Platform Housing Group, New College Worcester,

Cera Care, Adecco, Worcestershire County Council, Worcester BID and LOCALiQ - the advertising arm of the Worcester News.

Regional editor Stephanie Preece said: “The fair will be a great opportunity for employers to meet job seekers in the local area.

“Whether you are looking for full-time or part-time work, apprenticeships or a volunteering role – the fair will be an ideal place for you to connect with the right potential employer.”

The event is open from 10am until 4.30pm.

Among the local businesses already signed up is The Development Manager (TDM) - a tech and digital training provider, specialising in the delivery of government funded apprenticeships (Beginner to BSc (Hons) Degree), skills bootcamps and adult qualifications across the West Midlands.

TDM supports each learner with an Individualised Learning Plan, whether they are a new recruit to the organisation or are reskilling in their current role, to develop their skills in tech and digital.

Industry expert skills and knowledge coaches support learners to develop their skills in IT infrastructure and networks, software, cyber, digital marketing, digital support and data.

Learners are also supported by a performance and development coach to develop their professional behaviours, including communication, working as a team, being an effective employee and logical and creative thinking skills

TDM is committed to supporting employers to digitally transform, using programmes to reskill their current workforce, recruit new talent into the organisation and retaining their skilled employees. TDM is an employer responsive organisation, supporting learners, mentors and managers throughout each programme and responding to the particular skills needs of each employer and employee.
