A popular animal attraction has provided an update on its impending move out of Worcestershire.

All Things Wild, currently based in Honeybourne, is set to move to a new location, near Stratford-upon-Avon.

A planning application has been submitted to Stratford District Council and as of Monday, March 27, is still under review.

Until such a decision is made, it is business as usual.

Project development manager Victoria Faller said: “Our planning application for the relocation of All Things Wild is still under consideration by Stratford District Council, we are waiting for further news and hope to provide updates on progress soon.

“In the meanwhile, we are fully focussed on an exciting year ahead at our home in Honeybourne, and have been busy preparing a packed programme of events.”

There are plenty of activities planned for over the upcoming school holidays, including an Easter egg hunt and the chance to make your own chameleon and take part in science experiments.

This comes along with a host of other new events for the spring, including the Rangers Club for two to five-year-olds and the after-school Little Gardeners Club.

All Things Wild’s move to Stratford will see the park more than double in size, from 30 acres to 80, allowing the attraction to expand and improve its habitats and boost its conservation work, as well as introduce new species.

It will also protect all of the existing jobs as well as creating 50 more.

The plans for the new park include six geographical zones that will introduce visitors to wildlife, habitats and conservation stories from around the world.

Each zone will also feature “interactive play-based learning and immersive technologies”.

Meanwhile, the addition of “safari-style” camping tents will make it possible to stay overnight in the park.

The Step Through Time dinosaur exhibit will also follow the move, with plans to improve and expand the exhibit.

Speaking when the plans were first revealed, manager Rebecca Harris said: “This is a hugely exciting opportunity for us to improve our provision for our animals, and for our staff and visitors.

“Our new site is near our current operation as we have a local customer base who have been very supportive of our plans to move, and who we look forward to welcoming to the new and improved All Things Wild in years to come.”
