Edwards-Adams, who has previously been subject to a criminal behaviour order, was jailed for 35 months for the affray during which he threatened proactive CID officers with a large kitchen knife at an address in Honeybourne on October 1, 2020. The original jail term was imposed on December 11, 2020 and it included the activation of a suspended sentence from May 2019 after Edwards-Adams stabbed someone on the A46 in Evesham.

It is a full licence recall which means he will now serve the remainder of that sentence and should not be eligible for release until September 3 this year.

DI Dave Knight said: "This outlines the risks officers face every day and the courage and professionalism they show in trying to protect the public from harm."

We have previously reported how a manhunt was launched for Edwards-Adams in relation to the incident at Twyford Petrol Station in Evesham in October 2018 after a young man was stabbed in the arm.

The arrest and recall of the defendant came the day after police made another significant arrest.

John Silk was jailed for 90 months after he forced entry to the home of an 83-year-old man and stole his wallet.

The 52-year-old of no fixed abode was released on licence but breached the terms and conditions and is now back in jail.

He was arrested while begging in Church Street in Worcester city centre on Monday and recalled to prison.

The robbery offence took place on September 25, 2018, resulting in a 90-month prison sentence.

That arrest was made as part of Operation Justice, a force-wide week of action to target individuals persistent in their criminality and who create the most harm among communities.
