Residents in Worcestershire and the Cotswolds will be able to get a train directly to Devon.

The Cotswold Line Promotion Group is running its first charter train for four years.

The special service will stop off at several stops in the area before heading to Torquay.

First-class seats have already sold out but there are a number of standard seats remaining for customers at Worcester Shrub Hill, Worcestershire Parkway, Pershore, Evesham, Honeybourne and Moreton-in-Marsh stations.

The train, on Saturday (April 22), offers Cotswold Line customers the chance to enjoy a full day out in Torquay and Paignton.

There is also the option of a trip on the Paignton-Kingswear steam railway and the connecting ferry over to Dartmouth.

The train is due to arrive in Paignton at 10.40am and will return at 3.54pm.

It will also call at Taunton and Exeter on the way.

The trip costs £55 for adults and £30 for children between five and 15.
