TWO women allegedly walked out of a popular garden centre without paying for a 1kg Lindt bunny Easter competition prize.

Laylocks Garden Centre, in Cotheridge, shared CCTV pictures of two women who allegedly left without paying for the large chocolate treat which was intended to be won by a lucky customer.

A Facebook post read: "Oopsie. It looks as though these two ladies got swept up in the excitement of the bank holiday and accidentally thought they’d won our Easter competition, so have hopped home with our chocolate bunny.

"We’d very much like it back to give it to the real winner, so if anyone knows who these women are please do let us know."

Managers at the garden centre are set to report the incident to West Mercia Police but hope it was a mistake and the Easter Lindt treat will be returned.

The women allegedly were only in the garden centre for a few minutes according to a manager at the garden centre.

The Laylocks Garden Centre manager said: "They pulled up to the garden centre in a white Audi and both got out of the car while the Audi drove away.

"They made their way straight to the deli farm shop area of the garden centre and grabbed the 1kg Lindt bunny.

"After this, they made their way to near the exit where one of the women spoke to two staff members on the till whilst the other was able to exit the garden centre.

"Upon leaving, they made their way out of the garden centre and onto the main road where the white Audi picked them up and they drove away.

"We intend to report this to the police. We just want the bunny returned so it can go to the winner of the competition."
