A DINOSAUR adventure show is set to rumble into Worcester.

The Jurassic Live World Tour is coming to the 2000-seat University Arena University of Worcester Arena for two shows on Saturday, June 10 and Sunday, June 11.

The event is set to be the biggest non-sporting event that the University of Worcester Arena has ever hosted.

The show features giant animatronic dinosaur puppets and actors, with special effects,  and professional puppeteers.

A Tyrannosaurus Rex, a Triceratops and a Velociraptor are some of the main dinosaurs that feature in the show.

April White, arena operations and engagement manager, said: “We are delighted to be hosting Jurassic Live at the University of Worcester Arena in our tenth anniversary year.

"This will be one of the biggest non-sporting spectator events we have ever hosted, and we’re pleased to be able to bring, what is proving to be a very popular entertainment show, to the city.”

The story follows the protagonist Amber as she dreams she is part of a team trying to save dinosaurs from being stolen by an evil man.

The audience follows Amber, Ranger Joe, Ranger Nora, and the rest of the team as they try to round up the dinosaurs and stop the evil plot.

The 90-minute full-stage production features a flying Pterodactyl, a Parasaurolophus, a Stegosaurus and an Apatosaurus.

As well as the dinosaurs, the show also features singing and dancing along the way.

The University of Worcester Arena is regularly used for lectures, university sports and events.

It is also home to the Severn Stars netball team, a Super League Franchise with games regularly shown on Sky Sports, and the Worcester Wolves basketball team.

The games are regularly attended by netball and basketball fans across the region.

The venue has been home to both the women's and men's British Wheelchair Basketball teams.

A variety of non-sporting events including an annual Comic Con and comedy from big name comedians such as Lee Nelson and Phil Wang have also been shown at the arena.
