A PERSON has died after being hit by a train between Worcester and Cheltenham.
GWR confirmed that a person was hit by a train earlier today between Worcester Shrub Hill and Cheltenham Spa.
The British Transport Police has now confirmed that the person was pronounced dead at the scene.

A spokesperson said: "Officers were called to the line near Cheltenham at 11.08am following reports of a casualty on the tracks.
"Officers attended, but sadly a person was pronounced dead at the scene.
"We are now working to identify the person and a file will be prepared for the coroner."
All of the lines were blocked, and disruption was expected until at least 1.30pm, but has now been upgraded to at least 2.30pm

A message on the GWR website said: "Cross Country are conveying passengers via any reasonable route until further notice.
West Midlands Railway is conveying passengers between Worcester Foregate Street and Great Malvern in both directions until further notice.
"Stagecoach bus routes 94, 94X, 94U: Gloucester (Market Parade) - Cheltenham (Promenade) are conveying passengers between Glossop and Cheltenham Spa in both directions until further notice.
"Arrangements have been made for Great Western Railway rail tickets to be accepted for these journeys."
Hereford and Worcester Fire and Rescue Service, West Midlands Ambulance Service and West Mercia Police are not in attendance.
