1. The River Severn

The vast majority of the reviews about the River Severn highlight its beautiful landscape and closeness to nature.

However, one critic was disappointed that the River Severn was "not quite like the Amazon".

He said: "Well, dear friends.

"It's not quite the Amazon, but the River Severn does have water and is in the shape of a river, so I assume it is one, probably."

We wish him well on his quest to find the Amazon River elsewhere in the UK.

2. Worcester Cathedral

One visitor was upset after his four-year-old grandchild was allegedly told to be quiet after saying, "Wow".

He added: "Awe is not permitted in Worcester Cathedral.

"Religion is as dry as the Dane skins which used to be on the door.

"This is one of the most beautiful buildings in England.

"It is also one which is as unwelcoming as much of its fascinating and important history."

In response to the complaint on TripAdvisor, the cathedral said it took pride in welcoming everyone to the site and apologised for one of their volunteers who was in an unfriendly mood.

Worcester News: The Hive in Worcester

3. The Hive

Worcester's extensive gold library was created by the University of Worcester and its city council and got most of its attention from its striking exterior.

But this reviewer had more to say about its interior.

They said: "I am one of the few that does not actually really mind how the Hive looks from the outside.

"My issues are with the inside.

"So much wasted empty dead space and so few actual books to look at or read, especially when it comes to fiction."

4. Gheluvelt Park

Gheluvelt Park is a memorial park built in honour of those lost in the First World War.

It is a well-known go-to park in Worcester for a family fun day out and a place to cool off at its splash park.

One visitor to the park was getting dizzy while trying to find the car park.

They said: "Parking is signposted from the main road - this signage takes you on a merry-go-round of the local houses, dizzy when you are finally at the car park.

"If you are driving and have the option, choose the smaller car."

Worcester News: The Guildhall

5. The Guildhall

The Guildhall is a beautiful building in the middle of the city centre, dating back to 1721.

However, one visitor was less impressed with the building and its history and more impressed with The Guildhall's toilets.

"There's not that much to see here, really," they said.

"It's a few large but mostly empty rooms, a few paintings, and some nice ceilings.

"There's also an irritatingly loud local radio playing through the sound system, which ruins any peaceful atmosphere.

"However - it's free, and (top tip) it arguably has the best public toilets in Worcester city centre. Worth it for that alone."
