SOWANIT BISHOP, 64, of Kylemilne Way, Stourport-on-Severn, drove a Citroen on the  A449 Southbound between Crossway Green and Ombersley, at a speed exceeding the 50 miles per hour limit. 

The offence was committed on October 10, 2022. 

The case was proved through the single justice procedure. 

Bishop was given three penalty points.

He was fined £220 and ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £88 and costs of £90.

 

RICKY JOHNSON, 19, of Boat Lane, Offenham, admitted having possession of 4.85 grams of cocaine, a controlled drug of class A.

The offence took place on March 3, 2021. 

He was given a nine-month conditional discharge and ordered to pay victim surcharge of £22 with no order made for costs. 

 

RUSSELL STEVENS, 56, of Park Hall, Birmingham Road, Kidderminster, failed to give information relating to the identification of the driver of a vehicle, a Vauxhall, to Droitwich police on August 24 last year. 

The case was proved through the single justice procedure. 

Stevens was fined £660, ordered to pay £264 victim surcharge and costs of £90 with a total owed to the courts of £1,014.

He was disqualified from driving for six months. 

 

MATTHEW KNIGHT, 32, of Langdale Drive, Worcester used a mobile phone while driving a Ford on Astwood Road, Worcester, on June 20 last year. 

The case was proved through the single justice procedure. 

Knight was fined £210 and ordered to pay victim surcharge of £84 and costs of £110 -  a total of £404. 

Knight was given six points but did receive a totting ban arguing exceptional hardship because his employees would lose their job if he was were disqualified from driving.

 

BENJAMIN ROBERTS, 52 of Albert Road South, Malvern, drove a Jaguar on A4103 Fromes Hill, Herefordshire at a speed exceeding 40 miles per hour on July 16 last year.

Roberts was fined £192, ordered to pay victim surcharge of £77 and costs of £110 -  a total of £379.

He was disqualified from driving for four months.
