Disney On Ice presents 100 Years of Wonder is coming to Birmingham and tickets are available to buy this week.

Disney fans can get all the action at Birmingham’s Resorts World Arena for five shows later this year.

The 100th anniversary of Disney is getting closer and Encanto will join the production for the first time in the UK.

How to buy tickets to Disney On Ice shows in Birmingham

Disney On Ice will be available to see from Wednesday, November 1 to Sunday, November 5, 2023.

Tickets for the production will go on general sale on Friday, May 26 at 9am via The Ticket Factory website.

The family experience will see Disney fans’ favourite characters take to the ice with classic Disney songs and stunts to look forward to.

Disney On Ice is no stranger to Birmingham having performed in the city 11 times since 2008 with the 2023 performances being its 12th visit.

Many of the Disney On Ice cast, including Calgary born Shay Jackson, have been skating since they were two years old and are driven by a passion to “inspire children” and “put a big smile on everyone’s faces”.

Stars like Jackson rehearse for more than 550 hours to get each performance perfect while a team of choreographers and set and costume designers create approximately 181 props and 250 different costumes.

The costumes take thousands of yards of fabric to make and along with the set of Disney On Ice, they are transported in 19 trucks from city to city and it all takes approximately 10 hours to set up.

This year’s adventure will see Mickey Mouse joined by his friends on a journey to discover his favourite memory of all time.

Families will be part of the action and will help the gang venture through Disney stories.

They will journey to a vibrant town in the mountains of Colombia to meet Mirabel and her family who live in a magical casita in a wondrous, charmed place called an Encanto.

Moana will display courage to save her island on a high-seas adventure with the demigod, Maui. 

Disney fans will travel to the wintry world of Arendelle as royal sisters Anna and Elsa discover true love is the most powerful magic of all and experience the mysterious magic of Fantasia as a Sorcerer’s Apprentice makes brooms come to life.

“Live Your Story” alongside Disney Princesses as they use perseverance, determination and hard work to inspire Mickey and children to share their favourite Disney memories.

That’s not all though as the audience will just keep swimming with Dory, Nemo, Marlin and new pal Hank from Disney Pixar’s Finding Dory and celebrate true friendship with Buzz Lightyear, Woody and The Toy Story gang.
