A POPULAR splash pad in Worcester has officially reopened after closing yesterday.
The splash pad at Gheluvelt Park was out of action because of a technical fault, and Worcester City Council hoped to repair it as soon as possible ahead of the weekend's heatwave.
A spokesperson for Worcester City Council said: "Great news - the Splashpad in Gheluvelt Park is back in action and ready for the weekend.
"It is open from 11am to 4pm every day.
"Enjoy!"
Highs of 30C have been tipped for Worcester on Saturday, June 10 and Sunday, June 11, and are expected to reach 26C, according to the Met Office.
The Met Office has issued a yellow heat-health warning, and Worcester City Council activated a Severe Weather Emergency Protocol.
Worcestershire Homelessness Prevention Team will be providing those with extra support for rough sleepers by handing out water, hats and hot weather safety advice.
