With the warmer weather here, many of us will be enjoying time in the garden.

But sometimes it’s nice to see what other people’s gardens are like, isn’t it?

The National Open Gardens Scheme allows you to do just that - and there are loads of stunning gardens in Worcestershire taking part.

We’ve rounded up some of the Worcestershire gardens opening to the public in July.

Rothbury in St Peter’s Road, North Malvern (WR14 1QS) is open on Sunday, July 23 from 1.30pm to 5pm.

Explore hand-excavated terraces accessed by sloping paths and steps in this garden on the side of the Malvern Hills.

There will even be tea and cake, including Rothbury’s famous carrot cake, for sale. Tickets are £5 for adults, free for children.

The Firs in Brickyard Lane, Drakes Broughton, near Pershore (WR10 2AH) is open by arrangement throughout June, July and August.

Groups of between 15 and 99 people can book in advance at £4.50 per person to visit this two-acre garden, which has views towards Bredon Hill and an Edwardian greenhouse. Contact details are on the NGS website.

Hiraeth, at 30 Showell Road in Droitwich (WR9 8UY) is open by arrangement throughout the summer months and will hold one of its open days on Sunday, July 30.

Between 2pm and 5pm visitors can explore oak sculptures, metal animals and a host of trees. Tickets are £3.50.

North Worcester Open Gardens takes place on the weekend of July 1 and 2.

A number of gardens in the city will be open including at 5 Beckett Drive in Northwick (WR3 7BZ), which has a town garden packed with plants and inspiring ideas for visitors.

Tickets are £6 for adults, free for children and the garden will be open from 11am to 5pm.

Spetchley Park Gardens is described by the NGS as “one of Britain’s best kept secrets” - and it’s open on Sunday, July 2 between 10.30am and 5pm.

It contains one of the biggest private collections of plant varieties outside the major botanical gardens, a gift shop and a coffee shop. Tickets are £10 for adults and £5 for children.
