A WORCESTER man has been found guilty of stealing whiskey and chewing gum from a supermarket.

Adam Vials, 50, stole the items from Asda on Tuesday, February 7, and issued a plea of not guilty on Tuesday, March 14.

Vials, no fixed abode, was found guilty on Friday, March 16 at Kidderminster Magistrates' Court.

As a custodial sentence had already been served, no additional financial penalties were given to Vials.

The court found it inappropriate to make a compensation order as the custodial sentence had been imposed.

The case was adjourned from Thursday, April 20 for the trial to take place.
