THOUSANDS of people will line the city's streets to watch the traditional Worcester Carnival parade.

To make way for the floats several roads in the city centre will be closed for a portion of Saturday (July 1).

The parade - which is themed Our Colourful World - will be making its way through the streets while entertainment and stalls will be at the Carnival Village on Pitchcroft.

Between 2pm to 5pm, as the parade is in full swing, the following roads will be closed as they are due to being included in the carnival route.

  • Castle Street
  •  Foregate Street
  • High Street
  • Pump Street
  • City Walls Road
  • Deansway
  • Croft Road

The Worcester Carnival Parade starts at Pitchcroft at 3pm, and will make its way around the traditional 1.7 mile route, before returning to Pitchcroft.
