Talented dancers will be showcasing their moves in a series of charity shows in Worcester next week.

Dance group Happy Steps will bring their show The Magical Book to the Swan Theatre from July 13 to 16.

The charity show, in aid of the British Heart Foundation (BHF), is close to those taking part too - as a mum of a dancer died from a heart condition earlier this year.

Tragically, mum-of-three Amy Osbourne, 40, suddenly passed away in January.

Debbie Harding, principal of Happy Steps, said: "We hold a charity show most years and we just knew that we had to do something in Amy's memory for this year.

"It was incredibly sad to hear we had lost her and we were all in shock at the start of the year.

"Myself and our vice principal Karen Webb wrote the story for the performance.

"There will be a mixture of ballet, tap and singing.

"I've been running this for 17 years and this is an amazing chance for children to perform on stage in a professional theatre.

"We have children from the age of two to adult taking part - over 200 are involved in the shows and everyone gets their chance to shine."

Two shows will take place at the theatre on the Saturday and Sunday (July 15 and 16).

Tickets are available on the website.

Debbie continued: "It is a real family show that is supporting an amazing charity."
