A NEW food, drink and artisan festival is set to come to Droitwich, with the stalls described as irresistibly good.

Dine 'N' Devour Food & Artisan Festival is a touring market that hopes to fill the town's Lido Park with fresh, mouthwatering aromas, foot-tapping music and children's entertainment.

The festival - which spans two days - has previously fed residents from Oxford, Stratford, Tamworth, Bewdley and Stourport. It's now decided to add Droitwich to the tour list.

Food lovers are invited to explore various food stalls, try different drinks, and explore independent stores, with things officially kicking off at 10am on August 5.

Lara Davos, events manager, said: "So far, the events have gone really well.

"The main aspect is the extensive range of international foods and goods as people can try things they wouldn't usually go for.

"It is good vibes and atmosphere, and there will be music."

Miss Davos added that the event would also allow people to do full food shops if they wished, and there is a range of artisan items like jewellery to buy.

There will be a chef on stilts, party games, and much more to help keep the children entertained.

Along with the live music, street performers will also entertain while foodies enjoy the weekend.

The festival will take place on August 5 to 6.

The new event follows the success of other festivals which have come to Droitwich in recent years.

These include the Droitwich Spa Food and Drink festival, which took place in June and featured more than 100 stalls as well as a funfair.

While Saltfest, which takes place every year in mid-September, celebrates the town's Salt heritage and sees re-enactors dressed as Roman soldiers parade through the town.
