THE father of Elle Edwards, who was shot dead on Christmas Eve in a Merseyside pub, started from Worcester on a fundraising walk to Lands End.

Her dad Tim Edwards has set up a foundation to remember his daughter.

Killer Connor Chapman, 23, was jailed for a minimum of 48 years for her murder last month.

Tim Edwards, Elle's father, set up a GoFundMe page called Elle's Army earlier this month to raise funds for the Elle Edwards Foundation.

The charity will help families affected by gun crime while raising awareness about anti-gun and knife crime across the world.

And as part of the fundraising effort he is taking part in a charity walk to Lands End.

His friend John May was doing the Lands End to John O’Groats challenge earlier this year when Tim joined him on the Worcester to John O'Groats leg.

As he didn't start the walk with John, and missed the first 250 miles of the challenge, Tim was determined to complete the rest of it.

On Sunday (August 7), he began again in Worcester to do the Land's End leg with John, an actor and comedian, deciding to join him.

Posting pictures in Worcestershire on his Instagram Tim said: "Start of a new challenge.

"Two counties, one day. Great first day and both feeling good."

On Tuesday, after reaching Tewskesbury, Tim added: "Weather's grim so took refuge in Tewskesbury Abbey for a bit.

"We crack on to keep to our average of half a marathon everyday - and Elle's army marches on."

In a post on Instagram John added: "We go again.

"He asked me to come along and I simply could not say no, so here we are.

"We want to raise the funds to set up @elle_edwards_foundation to create a place to support families in Tim's position."
