CANNABIS plants and the remnants of what is believed to be a drugs farm have been discovered fly-tipped on the driveway of a home.

The worried homeowner in Kempsey made the discovery and quickly flagged down a passing police car to report the fly-tipping.

They were shocked to find a huge pile of black rubbish bags and white tubs along with cuttings of what is believed to be cannabis plants on Wednesday evening (August 16).

There were also electrical cables, equipment and heaters dumped in the pile which are thought to have come from a cannabis farm.

About 60 tubs were in the pile of rubbish while the black bags were open and the plant remnants were scattered over the driveway.

David Harrison, a district councillor for Kempsey, said drugs are an issue for the village near Worcester - though it is not known where the fly-tipped rubbish had come from.

He said: "There is plenty of issues with drugs in Kemspey, and it is discussed regularly in our parish council meetings.

"Police are aware of the issues and are dealing with them.

"This will be brought up in our next PACT meeting on Tuesday at the Kemspey Community Centre at 12.30pm."

"All the waste was removed by Malvern Hills District Council from the roadside verge before 9am this morning – thanks to all involved."
