A MAN has been jailed after committing sexual offences against children.

Michal Friga, of Wylds Lane, Worcester, was jailed for one count of sexual assault by penetration, to which he got seven years and two further counts of sexual assault by touching which he got two years.

The 42-year-old was sentenced to nine years in prison for the crimes which took place between March 2020 and March 2021.

His conviction follows a complex investigation run by acting Detective Sergeant Gemma Leighton from South Worcestershire’s Protecting Vulnerable People department.

Detective Sergeant Marie Green of Worcester Police’s Protecting Vulnerable People department said: “This was a complex and challenging case whereby the case relied on the testimony of the victims.

“Their strength and determination to speak openly about the abuse they had suffered was a credit to them for which they should be very proud of themselves.

“If anyone has suffered similar or needs the support of the police, please do not hesitate to contact us.”

Friga will be required to sign the sex offenders register for an indefinite period and has also been made subject of a sexual harm prevention order, also in place for an indefinite period.

Friga was jailed at Worcester Crown Court yesterday (Wednesday, August 30).
