A BUSY city road has fallen to a standstill during the morning rush hour due to roadworks.
Multiway traffic lights on London Road, which connects to the junction for Waitrose, are causing long queues on both sides of the road.
The AA shows slow-moving traffic, which filters all the way down to the Bath Road junction and up to Whittington.
Wylds Lane, Whittington Road, the A440, Battenhall Road and Spetchley Road are also affected by traffic.
The road works are being conducted by Severn Trent, who hopes to have the work completed by tomorrow.
