WORCESTER Music Festival was part of an action-packed weekend of events in Worcester city centre.

There were live performances across more than 20 venues in Worcester city centre throughout the weekend, (September 16-17).

Among the 250 artists who took part were The Ruben Seabright Trio, Sweetpool, Kalashnikov Skank, Tin Drum and Mt. Yonder.

There were 200 free performances at venues including The Marrs Bar, Drummonds, Saracens Head, Tonic, Bottles and The Angel Centre.

The festival has been running since 2008 and is organised by volunteers.

All the money raised across the weekend went to  The Myriad Centre.

Cheryl Johnson, fundraising development manager at The Myriad Centre, said they were delighted to have been chosen as the festival charity.

"We are a small local charity, which has a big, positive impact on people with profound and multiple learning disabilities (PMLD) and their families and carers.

"We are here to help the young people we support make the most of every day through a wide range of fun, fulfilling activities, including music and art therapy."
