Villagers are being asked to review CCTV and video doorbell footage after a van was stolen.

West Mercia Police say a white Ford Transit was stolen with keys from outside an address at the Squire's Walk end of Church Street in Kempsey.

The theft took place at about 2.40pm yesterday (Monday, October 9).

The vehicle was sign-written to the front and sides with ‘Master Thatcher’ and had a long storage tube on the roof.

“The suspects approached the van from the Morrisons side on foot and have driven the van down Squire's Walk, through the ford, before making off,” said PC Jon Hand, of the Kempsey and Alfrick policing team.

“We are asking local residents in this area that may have access to CCTV or video doorbells to review their footage, we believe that three males and a female in dark clothing were involved in the theft.

“If you aren’t comfortable contacting us directly, information can also be given anonymously to the independent charity, Crimestoppers, they never ask your name and they cannot trace your call or IP address.
