Recent data has revealed that properties in Pershore's WR10 postcode have been selling the quickest over the past year.

This has been discovered by Worcester-based house buying firm Property Solvers, who have used their speed of sale tool to compile data of how quickly homes in each Worcestershire postcode are taking on average to sell.

Updated on a monthly basis, the most recent statistics showed that properties in the top ten areas of the county are currently taking an average of 130.40 days, or 18.63 weeks, to go from first being listed to being sold and taken off the market.

The data, which is updated monthly, analysed over 451 property sales in the region from October 2022 to October 2023.

The tool traced the amount of time between the date a property is initially listed on the UK's leading property portals until it is marked with an official ‘sold’ status at the HM Land Registry.

Of the top 10 areas, Pershore (WR10), Worcester (WR4), and Worcester (WR5) recorded the fastest sales, taking 110, 123 and 126 days to get off the market, respectively.

On the flipside, homes took the longest to sell in the Droitwich (WR9), Worcester (WR3), and Evesham (WR11) postcodes, taking 141, 131 and 130 days respectively.

The WR2 (Worcester) and WR14 (Malvern) postcodes were in the middle of the road, with the former taking an average of 129 days to sell, while the latter was just ahead at 128 days.

Ruban Selvanayagam of Property Solvers said: "The property market is certainly in a different place relative to a couple of years ago.

"The continued pressures on the mortgage sector and buyers ability to secure the right kind of finance has resulted in delays with sales completing."

Selvanayagam, co-founder of the company with 20 years of experience in the property business, added further: "Combined with the recognised ‘snail pace’ nature of the conveyancing process, it’s likely that these trends are likely to remain for some time."
