A WOMAN was surprised to see a sparrow hawk land in her garden.
The sparrow hawk is a small bird of prey that often visit gardens, looking for birds to feed on such as finches and sparrows
The pictures and video were captured by Kelly Stuchfield, of Priory Road in Malvern, on Friday, November 3.
At 11am, the sparrow hawk appeared in the garden.
According to Worcestershire Wildlife Trust, sparrowhawks have rounded wings and a relatively long, narrow tail.
Males are small in size, with a blue-grey back and white underparts showing reddish-orange barring.
Females are much larger than the males, with browner plumage above and grey bars below. They both have reddish cheeks.
