ST John's residents have been warned they could suffer lower water pressure than normal due to a recent water leak.

Severn Trent Water (STW) says Malvern Road is still closed at the junction of Whites Road, after it had to be shut to allow emergency work by Severn Trent Water.

A section of the road had to be closed due to a burst water pipe on Saturday, (November 4).

A STW spokesperson on Monday, (November 6) said: The traffic management (cones) will be collected so the road can reopen as soon as possible.

"We are also aware that a small number of customers may be experiencing lower water pressure than normal this morning.

"With the pipe fixed it's our priority to now get the road back to normal and open as quickly as we can."

"We’re sorry about this, and we’re working hard to get everything sorted as soon as we can.”

On Saturday, Severn Trent said its teams had completed emergency repairs.

"To keep them and others safe as they work, a section of the road has been temporarily closed.Worcester News: CLOSED: The B4206 Malvern RoadCLOSED: The B4206 Malvern Road (Image: Google)Worcester News: 'AREA EVENT': The area the low water pressure could affect'AREA EVENT': The area the low water pressure could affect (Image: Severn Trent Water)

On STW's website an 'area event' is shown stretching all the way from Cripplegate Park not far from Worcester Bridge to just outside Leigh Sinton, near Malvern.

The warning says: "Customers in the area may be experiencing water supply issues due to a burst pipe.

"We’re sorry for any inconveniences caused during this time."
