A CAR and lorry crash on a busy roundabout has caused major traffic delays and disrupted bus services. 

Nobody was injured but drivers were stuck in slow-moving traffic on Worcester Road and Townsend Way after the crash on the Newland roundabout in Malvern. 

A spokesperson for West Mercia Police said: "We were called to a collision involving a lorry and a car at Newland Roundabout, on Worcester Road around 12.05pm this afternoon (Thursday).

"No injuries were reported."

First Worcester said its 44 services between Malvern and Worcester had been diverted due to the incident.

A spokesperson for First Worcester said: "Service alert for the 44, due to an incident at Newland roundabout, services are diverted.

"To Worcester, services are not serving Malvern Retail Park.

"To Malvern, services are not serving Isabel Harrison Gardens, Spring Lane, Malvern Link Co-op, and Morgan Works."

A spokesperson for the AA added: "Partially blocked and queueing traffic due to crash on A449 Worcester Road both ways near the car garage."
