Worcester Cathedral’s popular Christmas Tree Festival will return in December - but it won’t be open on Christmas Eve.
The sparkling trees that fill the cathedral in the run up to Christmas are always innovatively and individually designed and decorated by local schools, charities and organisations.
And this year the cathedral is promising there will be more trees than ever.
Booking is not required, visitors are invited to simply turn up and enjoy the festive display in the medieval cloister.
Large groups and schools are asked to book ahead.
The festival gets underway on Thursday, December 7 and runs until Sunday, January 14.
But it will not be open on Christmas Eve, as it falls on a Sunday. The combination of a high number of services taking place and shorter visiting hours means the festival won’t be open for visiting that day.
It will also be closed on Christmas Day.
The cathedral is open Monday-Saturday 10am-5pm and on Sundays 1pm-3pm.
