IT has been a busy start for a new clothes store that opened in Worcester this month.

Charlie Browns Menswear officially welcomed customers into its new Worcester branch after opening in the former Topshop store.

Staff at the business said it has so far been a relatively busy first month after it opened on Friday, November 3.

James Welch, manager of the new store, said: “Charlie Browns is an independent business selling premium formal and casual menswear, which has been trading since the 1980s.

"We are excited to unveil our brand new store in Worcester, where we are offering a range of brands, including EA7, Hugo Boss and Luke Sport to name just a few.

"We have outfits for all occasions, whether that would be a stunning suit for a wedding or a quality tracksuit for a lazy Sunday.

"When you enter our store, we will be there to serve you as best we can, and always with a smile on our face."

The inside of the store has kept a similar layout as the former Topshop clothes store with clothes racks on the store's walls and in the centre.

The bottom floor is filled with casual clothes with a mixture of coats, jackets and tops.

The store's first floor is then designated for suits and formal wear.

Topshop went into administration in 2020.

In 2021, it was confirmed that ASOS sealed a £265 million takeover of Arcadia, including brands Topshop, Topman, Miss Selfridge and HIIT.

The store on the High Street then became a 'pop-up' clothes shop before Charlie Browns Menswear took over.
