A cookery school in Pershore has been crowned the best in the UK by readers of an esteemed food magazine.

Eckington Manor Cookery School topped the list at the Food and Travel Magazine 2023 Readers Awards, trumping renowned establishments like Le Cordon Bleu, The Kitchen at Chewton Glen and Leith’s School of Food & Wine.

Founder Judy Gardner received the award at a gala event at the RAC Club on Pall Mall, London.

Mrs Gardner, a veteran in the food industry with over 35 years of experience, leads several successful businesses in Pershore such as Garner’s Foods and Belle House Restaurant.

The cookery school, which opened in 2008 inside a Dutch barn, boasts a spacious air-conditioned classroom, 10 individual workspaces, and offers a variety of classes from street food to modern British classics.

Classes for half, one or two days are taught at the school in a relaxed setting with the school priding itself on maintaining a relaxed setting while still ensuring plenty of individual attention and feedback for their students.

The school also features 16 boutique bedrooms for guests to stay overnight, and attracts guests to stay overnight from across the world.
