THOUSANDS of people are expected to travel into Worcester for the Victorian Christmas Fayre so we have compiled a list of car parks in the city centre.

With the event well underway on day two, attendees will be looking for car parks around the city centre so they can enjoy all of what the fayre has to offer.

However, it is worth noting that the city centre is extremely busy with the fayre, so parking spaces may be difficult to find.

Cornmarket Car Park is currently closed, as every year it is transformed into a fairground, with rides, stallholders and food vendors.

Some spaces in Copenhagen Street Car Park are also being reserved for the Christmas Fayre, so there are fewer spaces than normal.

The NCP car park in Cathedral Square and Crowngate Car Park are two city centre parking options which are popular amongst shoppers.

Worcester City Council has several car parks where you can pay using either cash or RingGo at the Fayre.

  • Cattlemarket Car Park
  • Copenhagen Street Car Park
  • Croft Road Car Park
  • Croft Road Car Park (Coaches/Lorries)
  • King Street Car Park
  • Pitchcroft Car Park
  • Newport Street Car Park
  • Providence Street Car Park
  • St Martins Gate Car Park

The City Council also has several car parks which can only be paid for with the RingGo phone app.

  • Clare Street Car Park
  • Commandery Road Car Park
  • Tallow Hill Car Park
  • Moors Car Park
  • Tybridge Street Car Park

There are also street parking options which are cash only, on:

  • College Precincts - On-street parking
  • Severn Street - On-street parking
  • Silver Street - On-street parking

There is also another car park on Sansome Street, which can be paid for using a phone app, and also by cash.

Instead of parking in the city centre, a park and ride service from County Hall is in place, aiming to reduce the impact on the city centre.

The park and ride goes to Crowngate Bus Station, which is just a short walk away from the Victorian Fayre.
