INJURED Kidderminster Harriers players will now be treated at Droitwich Spa Hospital as part of a new partnership.

The hospital’s Imaging team will schedule players at short notice, and scan them within 24-48 hours following a game or training session, to help them receive a diagnosis quickly so the medical team can take action as soon as an injury occurs.

Based in the heart of Droitwich Spa town centre, the hospital is around a twenty-minute drive away from Aggborough Stadium.

The hospital offers MRI, CT, Digital X-ray and Ultrasound so can cater for all imaging requests.

Kidderminster Harriers players can also take advantage of the advanced physiotherapy facilities provided at Droitwich Spa Hospital which include an AlterG® Anti Gravity Treadmill™, Shockwave Therapy and Advanced Hand Therapy to aid rehabilitation post injury and will help the players back to match fitness.

Claire Davenport, executive director at Droitwich Spa Hospital, said: “We are thrilled to be working with Kidderminster Harriers Football Club and are proud to be playing our part in getting their players back on the football pitch as quickly as possible.”

Paul Biggerstaff, General Manager of Kidderminster Harriers, said: “The partnership with Circle Health Group is a vital one for us as a club. Injury is unfortunately part of football, so having such a dynamic and versatile range of facilities available to us locally is of huge benefit to our medical team and the rest of the management staff.

“We’re pleased to have Droitwich Spa Hospital as our healthcare partner of choice and thank them for their support. We look forward to continuing to develop and grow the partnership in what it is a critical area of the business.”
