An eight-year-old will pick up a donation for her school library after winning a Worcestershire estate agent's Christmas card competition.

Eight-year-old Hollie, who goes to Malvern Parish School, triumphed in Nicol & Co’s annual Christmas card contest with her design of an angel, festive tree and church design.

Her win means her school will receive a £300 library donation from the estate agent, while Hollie herself will get a sack of £50 worth of goods from Santa, and 30 copies of the card for her family to send out this festive season.

The competition ran from late November to early December, with followers of Nicol & Co’s on Facebook deciding on the winner with their online approvals.

Matt Nicol, managing director at the estate agent, which has branches in Droitwich, Malvern and Worcester, said: "Once again, it was great to see all the colourful entries that we received, and we all had wonderful fun watching our Facebook followers decide on the best with their 'likes' and 'shares'."

Speaking on Hollie’s win, Mr Nicol added: "We are delighted that Hollie gets to enjoy a prize for herself, and that Malvern Parish School can now invest in some new books for all its children.

"I enjoyed watching how Hollie’s design won the day as it was such a carefully thought out card.

"She is obviously a very talented little artist and it’s just the kind of colourful design we were hoping for."
