A VILLAGE road has been closed following a three-vehicle crash.

Plough Lane, in Tibberton, has been closed following the crash, which was confirmed by Worcestershire County Council's Highways and Travel team.

Hereford and Worcester Fire and Rescue Service attended Plough lane to assist with making the vehicles safe.

A spokesperson said: " Two Hereford and Worcester Fire and Rescue Service crews – one each from Worcester and Droitwich Fire Stations – were called at 9.17am on Wednesday, December 6 to an RTC in Plough Lane, Tibberton.

"Crews discovered eight vehicles on scene, three of which had been involved in an RTC. Crews made the vehicles and scene safe with the road closed in both directions.

"No persons were trapped and there were no casualties but the ambulance service and police were also in attendance.

"The incident was marked as pending closure at 10.15am."

West Midlands Ambulance Service discharged a woman at the scene following an assessment after the crash.

A spokesperson said: "We were called to reports of a multi-vehicle RTC on Plough Lane in Tibberton, Droitwich at around 9.10am.

"An ambulance and a paramedic officer were sent to the scene where, on arrival, crews discovered three cars had been involved in a collision.

"There was one patient requiring assessment, a woman, but she was not injured and so was discharged at the scene."
