FIREFIGHTERS were called to a city road following reports of a gas smell in the area.
A police officer, passing through the area, reported the smell of gas in Barbourne Road, Worcester.
A crew from Worcester Fire Station was then called to the scene at 2.22am on Friday morning, (December 22).
A Hereford and Worcester Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson said: "On arrival the crew detected a slight smell of gas.
"Cadent Gas were requested to attend as a precaution.
"There were no casualties."
Firefighters left the scene just after 3am.
