Residents have been invited to 'meet the artists' responsible for installing new public art work on Worcester's regenerated porcelain factory site.

Public artists Musson+Retallick have been commissioned for the project with Worcester City Council, The Museum of Royal Worcester and Royal Porcelain Works.

They will be creating and installing original artworks at the former factory site in 2024, interpreting Worcester's renowned porcelain heritage.

The artists, Neil Musson and Jono Retallick, have announced a series of 'meet the artists' workshops in January, inviting city residents, businesses, schools, community groups and former factory workers.

These creative sessions will feature the pair discussing their process and offering hands-on activities suitable for all participants who are encouraged to share stories and memories of 'The Porcelain', shaping the final artworks.

The artists said: "We are really looking forward to meeting the local community and chatting about the inspiration behind our responses to the regenerated Royal Porcelain Works site."

They emphasised the importance of combining personal stories and historic information to ensure the artwork is tailored to Worcester.
