FAST food fans have been left disappointed as a restaurant closed due to a burst water pipe. 

Customers going up to the door at the McDonald's at Blackpole Retail Park discovered the doors closed with a sign giving details why.

"We are unsure of when we may reopen.

"Sorry for the inconvenience."

Traffic is slow moving along Blackpole Road, next to the retail park, with cones out for the burst pipe that is causing there to be some water in the road.

Severn Trent Water roadworks are listed as having begun on Thursday, (January 18) with a current closure date of January 31.

The national chain also has branches in The Foregate, Hylton Road and Wychbold, near Droitwich.

McDonald's was contacted for comment.
