With Light Night Worcester's fifth instalment under two weeks away, here's everything you need to know about the landmark event's fifth instalment.

The event is scheduled for Wednesday, 14, and Thursday, February 15, from 6pm to 9:30pm.

It is managed and delivered by Severn Arts, a community arts organization, and is free to attend for all ages.

Ahead of Light Night, from 10am to 4pm on 10–13 February, artists Lou Baker and Oly Bliss will host drop-in workshops at Crowngate Shopping Centre, making sculptures for their installation.

There will also be a 'Meet the Artists' forum held at The Hive Studio on Thursday, 15 February from 5–5.45pm, facilitated by Light Night’s artistic programmer, Lucy Dusgate.

The event will transform the city centre into an art landscape featuring several installations.

Visitors can marvel at 'Kinetic Perspective' by Juan Fuentes at Cathedral Square, or venture to St Helen’s Church to immerse themselves in a multi-media experience named 'Black Hole – End of Time' crafted by Paul Alty.

Other attractions include the illuminated 'Stained Glass Window' at St Andrew’s Methodist Church, 'Evanescent' by Atelier Sisu at Cornmarket car park, and the 'People’s Popup Pavilion' on the High Street, among others.

Attendees are also invited to engage in a host of interactive activities.

There will also be performances on both nights including 'Aura' by Southpaw Dance Company and Dancefest, both on Cornmarket, while 'Glitter Belles' will be on Angel Place, and the 'Lightwalkers' on High Street.

The Food Zone in Cornmarket, filled with various cuisines, will also be open fromv5pm to 9pm.

For those concerned about the potential crowdedness of the event, the event coordinators have assured that measures are in place to manage the crowd.

The event is spread over the entire city centre and duplicate programmes are held over two nights, giving everyone an opportunity to enjoy the event.

While Light Night is free, participants are cautioned that they might have to wait at times due to the event's popularity.
