A housekeeper has won a prestigious award after ten years of service.

Dawn Goodway, currently the Head Housekeeper at Latimer Court in Worcester, was celebrated with a 10 Year Service Award, marking a decade of her employment at Barchester Healthcare.

Ms Goodway started at Barchester in January 2014, when the home originally opened, and has since worked tirelessly to meet the needs of the residents and their relatives.

Adele Keenan, Employee Services Director at Barchester, said: "I’m always pleased to hear stories about the long service of Barchester staff and am delighted Dawn has achieved this milestone.

"It is dedication like this that ensures our residents are provided with a happy place to live."

General Manager of Latimer Court, Donna Tustin, acknowledged added: "We’re absolutely delighted to be celebrating 10 years of loyal service with Dawn.

"She has demonstrated her dedication and loyalty to this home and its residents year after year and continues to do so.

"I speak for all of us here at Latimer Court when I say that I’m looking forward to many more years of working with Dawn."

Latimer Court, managed by Barchester Healthcare, is one of the largest care providers in the UK.

It provides residential care, nursing care and dementia care for 80 residents, ranging from respite care to long-term stays.

Barchester Healthcare is a care provider that supports about 12,000 residents across its 248 homes and hospitals.

Specialist care services include focusing on residents with Parkinson’s or Huntington’s disease and those in need of neuro rehabilitation.

Many Barchester homes feature a Memory Lane Community, which is a dedicated part of the home designed to support residents who are living with various stages of Alzheimer’s or dementia, to stay as independent and active as possible.

Barchester also operates six mental health hospitals offering functional and organic mental health services.
