A POPULAR vegan eatery has opened its first fast-food restaurant in the city.

No Frickin Chicken, founded by Worcester couple Michelin star chef Paddy Kelly and Hana Hughes, has opened the new shop in Bromyard Terrace, St John's.

The pair, from Diglis, have made No Frickin Chicken a familiar name having previously been a food van business travelling to events across the county and further afield at festivals.

The new shop is promising a "mouth-watering" menu featuring plant-based burgers, 'chicken’ pieces and loaded fries.

Inside the shop is a colourful decor and artwork based on Worcester landmarks.

For diners there are comfy sofas to sit, with books and children's board games available.

Hana said: "We opened at noon (on Saturday, (February 9), and we had a few people come in straight away.

"We have been looking to do this for ages. We have doing festivals for three years. It's been the last year we have been looking for premises.

"We want to make sure we are not overly vegan, we are suitable for everyone.

"We have got loads of gluten-free options, soya-free options.
