A late-medieval house is offering the chance to travel back in time to the Tudor period this weekend.

As part of the city-wide Living History Worcester and in partnership with Worcester Reenactors, Greyfriars House & Garden is giving history buffs the chance to learn about life 500 years ago today (Saturday, February 17) and tomorrow (Sunday, February 18).

Located in the city centre, Greyfriars will host Tudor reenactors as they bring the past to life.

Visitors can anticipate demonstrations and talks about what life was like half a millennium ago.

It's an opportunity to learn what Greyfriars means to Worcester's heritage.

Also participating in the city-wide event are five other historical sites, including Worcester’s Guildhall, Commandery, Tudor House, Cathedral Square and St Helen's Church.

The multi-period live history displays will transport you back in time as you traverse the city.

Greyfriars also invites visitors to explore the walled garden for a breath of fresh air, and to look out for snowdrops and other signs of spring.

Visit the Old Oak Café for hot and cold drinks, light lunches and cakes.

Entry to the garden and café is free.
