FIRE crews were spotted in a residential street last night after a microwave fire.
One fire engine was seen on Turners Close last night (Monday) after a fire broke out in a microwave.
The area was checked with a thermal imaging camera, a heat alarm was reinstated and a carbon monoxide alarm was also fitted.
A Hereford & Worcester Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson said: "A HWFR crew from Worcester Fire Station was called at 5.50pm on February 19 to a fire at a house in Turners Close, Worcester.
"A fire in a microwave oven was out on the arrival of the crew with the appliance removed from the property.
"The area was checked with a thermal imaging camera, a heat alarm was reinstated and a carbon monoxide alarm fitter.
"There were no casualties and no other emergency services attended.
"The incident was marked as pending closure at 6.07pm."
