The Christian Women of Palestine have issued a global call for unity amid turbulent times.

The World Day of Prayer is an international and inter-church initiative led by women that allows for the sharing of thoughts, hopes, concerns, and prayers from women across the globe.

The service is set to be celebrated in St Andrews Church on Friday, March 1 at 10.30am.

Preparations for this important day involve both international based in New York and national committees in each participating country, plus regional conferences and local groups.

The theme of the 2024 World Day of Prayer service, 'bear with one another in love', encapsulates the resilience and faith of these women.

The Day of Prayer spans 146 countries, starting in Samoa through Asia, Africa, the Middle East, Europe and the Americas before finishing in American Samoa 38 hours later.
