A WORCESTER company has won a prestigious trophy at a national presentation ceremony.

Theatre and digital tech firm C&T claimed glory at the Drama and Education Awards in London.

C&T’s digital drama education platform Prospero was named Outstanding Drama Education Resource in the event at Grosvenor Square Hotel, Mayfair.

Selected from a shortlist of some of the United Kingdom's leading theatre companies, including Frantic Assembly, and top publishers, the judges praised Prospero as an “innovative project with lots of potential to upscale, reaching international levels".

Dr Paul Sutton, C&T and Prospero’s artistic director, said of the awards: “This is a tremendous endorsement of our work and of the potential for Prospero to make a difference in Worcester schools and to others across the world, using the internet to change lives through creativity.”

The Deansway-based company, a registered charity, is made up of a team of applied theatre practitioners, technologists and researchers who are finding new ways of fusing drama and digital technologies.

Its Prospero theatre technology is transforming lives and communities around the world.

The online utility enables anyone to mix and blend drama, kinaesthetic learning and digital technologies.

The team continues to research and develop new functions and tools for Prospero, bringing new benefits to its growing community of users.
