TWENTY years ago may not seem that long ago but to some it might feel like a lifetime.
It was still the Worcester Evening News back in early April 2004 and headlines were being dominated by the city's rugby union team.
Worcester Warriors had secured promotion to the English Premiership for the first time backed by the financial investment of the late Cecil Duckworth.
The club had risen through six divisions since Duckworth became involved with the team.
But this will all seem many moons ago for Warriors' fans who have seen their club go through the mill to the point of calling in the administrators and losing all its players along with its league status.
Worcester Warriors Supporters Trust (WWST) still has hopes the club could be revived at some level in the future.
There were plenty of other talking points in the city and surrounding area back in early April 2004 as our photos demonstrate.
